FAQ

What if I need accommodations?

The content covered in Midwest Psychedelic's training program includes discussions on socioeconomic barriers to accessing Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, the experiences of marginalized communities in this field, and the influence of culture. It is important that our instructors situate the teaching of Psychedelic Assisted Therapy in a context that is accessible to all regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexuality orientation, culture, religion, nation of origin, disability, language or socioeconomic status. Course content will be evaluated for diversity and accessibility in annual evaluations. Any concerns with the meeting of these guidelines will be addressed with individual instructors.

Do you offer PAT services?

Midwest Psychedelic Training offers educational programs but does not offer clinical services. Since there are no FDA approved psychedelic therapies yet, we do not offer referrals. If the State of Missouri approves a framework for psychedelic therapy access, we will provide referrals to state registered providers.

Can you provide a training in my city or at my organization?

Currently Midwest Psychedelic Training only offers courses online.

What medicines will be covered and why?

Psilocybin. There is strong legislative support for expanding access to psilocybin for therapeutic use.

Do you offer supervision?

Upon completion of the program, Midwest Psychedelic Training provides a structure for ongoing consultation.

When can I offer psilocybin assisted therapy?

The legislative process is complicated and unpredictable. That’s why Midwest Psychedelic dedicates resources for legislative advocacy. In Missouri, once a bill is signed by the governor, it will go into effect in August of that year.

How does this training differ from other psychedelic trainings?

Midwest Psychedelic training is aligned with proposed state specific requirements for practitioners. It addresses topics and competencies included in most psychedelic training programs. The training is thorough, and builds on the practitioner’s education, experience, and professional licensure.

Do you offer academic credit?

We do not offer academic credit. Midwest Psychedelic Training only provides a professional certification in psilocybin assisted therapy at this time.

Are you affiliated with an academic institution?

No.

Do you provide training for other psychedelic modalities?

Not at this time but we are always monitoring new regulations and legislation and will stay current with FDA approval psychotherapy.

Do students receive psychedelics as part of trainings?

No. We use simulation based mastery learning as proxy training.
